- The park is a small static caravan park along an old railway line, about 550m long and in some places down to 17m wide. All caravans are privately owned and are not rented out. Caravan holiday homes are sited on level ground with adjacent parking (on grass or surfaced with compacted road-planings). A small area with four pitches is at a lower level and is accessed through a gated subsidiary entrance.
- Most caravans require 2 or 3 steps for access. The park can supply suitable steps with an integral handrail, or can arrange for an access ramp to be constructed for most pitches.
- Park roads are made from re-cycled road planings. In general this compacts better than gravel, though in some areas there is loose material on the surface. Roads are generally level, though there is a slope from the main car park area to the caravan level. A 5 MPH speed limit applies throughout the park.
- A small area for visitor parking is provided near the park entrance. There are usually spaces available. If you expect a disabled visitor speak to us and we can reserve a parking space.
- The small laundry (single domestic washer and dryer) and recycling area is accessed from the car park on a surface of compacted road-planings. We do not have a dedicated reception on the park yet. There is a bell at the top of the steps to our kitchen door (sign marked reception) and we will come and speak to you.
- Assistance dogs are welcome on the park. Sorry, we are a small park and do not have a free run area. Dogs should be on a lead and owners should clear up after their dog.
- We can supply a choice of Caravan Holiday Home Models for purchase which are designed for wheelchair access and limited mobility. Brochures with full specifications are available on request. If you are interested in buying a caravan, please speak to us about any special needs.
- The 688 GoNorthEast bus from Hexham passes the end of the road, 200m away and stops on request. Trains and buses connect to Newcastle and Carlisle from Hexham. The local taxi firm, Baynes Taxis (01434 683269), can pick up from and drop off to the park. They have two vehicles which can carry up to three wheelchairs each.
- If you join the local Co-op they will deliver groceries for orders over £10 for free.
- We are a small husband and wife business and live on site. We are usually available on the park in office hours. Outside of these hours an emergency service is available. Please be aware that this does not equate to 24 hour service. Due to family commitments there may periods during the day and holidays when we are not on the park. The park has good mobile phone coverage on EE / Virgin and Orange. Some other networks are poor.
- With our countryside location we are lucky to have roadside footpaths going in two directions to our local village, Allendale (1.25 miles)

Additional Items Specific to Station House Flat
- Station House Flat is a two-bedroom ground floor self catering holiday flat, which was totally refurbished in spring 2007 to a high standard.
- Access to the flat is on level road planings from the car park area. A parking place can be reserved close to the flat on request.
- The flat refurbishment work fulfils National Accessible Scheme M1 and some of the M2 criteria, though it has not been assessed.
- There is a 7cm threshold on the entrance door, a step of 15cm from the porch to the open plan living/dining/kitchen and a 20cm step to one of the bedrooms.
- There are grab rails in the shower room.
- Due to drain levels, despite the best efforts of our plumber, the step into the shower is 235mm, rather than the desired 190mm. We aim to provide a subsidiary step. We have provided an additional grab rail above the M1 provision at this point.
